Peach Cobbler

Peaches are ready to harvest! I went and picked a ton of peaches from my tree in the backyard. They are beautiful, and I love peaches! I am from Ga though, so that should be a given. Aden wanted a "real" peach cobbler, meaning not his version with a cake mix and butter. I found this recipe and it looks so good! Two big thumbs up.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup all purpose flour
2 cups sugar, divided
1 Tbsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 cup milk
4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt butter in a 9x13 dish.
2. Combine flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moist. Pour batter over butter. Don't stir together.
3. Mix peaches, 1 cup sugar, and lemon juice together and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Pour over batter. Do not stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
4. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm or cool.

Enjoy!
