Monkey Bread

Who doesn't love monkey bread? It is just one of those foods that gives comfort to the soul (and roundness to the hips). I make this for baby showers or other get-togethers. People can't keep their hands off this stuff...and I am right there with them. This is the Pioneer Woman's version of this recipe, which she actually stole from someone else herself. It's a simple recipe and really good.

Ingredients
½ cup brown sugar

2 sticks of butter

3 tsps cinnamon

3 cans of buttermilk biscuits (non-flaky)

-OR- 1 pkgs of dinner rolls

1 cup sugar

Set oven to 350, and lightly grease a bundt pan. Cut dinner rolls or biscuits into small pieces

Mix white sugar and cinnamon together in a gallon Ziploc bag. Drop all the biscuits into the bag and shake to mix. Spread biscuits into the bottom of the bundt pan.

In the meantime, melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Pour this (very bad for you) sauce over the biscuits. [Note: it will look like too much sauce, but it’s not.]

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until crust is a deep brown. Let cool for 15 minutes, turn over onto a plate, and serve!
